Refresh
The structure and content are sound but the look and feel are tired. We keep your page structure and addresses and update the design, which also makes it easier for search engines to recognise your pages.
Rebuild
The platform, theme or structure itself is the problem. We rebuild it, plan redirects from every old address and treat it as a website migration as well as a redesign.
Changing the content and the address structure together can mean some traffic loss while Google reassesses the pages, so we only do it when it’s worth it.

Will a redesign hurt my Google rankings?
Nobody can promise it won’t move things. Keeping the same page structure and addresses where possible helps, and any address that does change needs a permanent redirect. We tell you before we change anything that could affect search.
Do I need to change my platform?
Not always. Often the existing platform is fine and only the design needs work. We will say honestly if the platform is the real problem. See website platforms we support.
Can you redesign a site you didn’t build?
Yes. We start by reviewing how it is built so we know what we can keep.
Will I be able to edit the new site myself?
That is something we plan for from the start. Tell us what you want to change on your own and we will set it up that way.
Will the new site work on phones?
Yes, every site we build is designed for phones as well as computers. Google indexes the mobile version, so we treat it as the main version.
