Which Drupal version are you on?
These dates come from drupal.org’s own release schedule.
Drupal 7 and Drupal 9
Drupal 7 reached end of life on 5 January 2025 and Drupal 9 on 1 November 2023. Neither gets security fixes from the Drupal project any more. Some outside companies sell extended Drupal 7 security support, but drupal.org notes that this support comes from those companies themselves.
Drupal 10 and Drupal 11
Drupal 10 reaches end of life on 9 December 2026. Drupal 11, released on 2 August 2024, is supported until mid to late 2028. Drupal 12 is scheduled for December 2026, and its upgrade path is still being finalized.

Drupal questions, answered
Can I upgrade my Drupal 7 site to the latest version?
Not with a normal update. Moving from Drupal 7 to Drupal 10 or later is a migration, which uses Drupal’s Migrate tools to bring content across into a new site. We can plan that, or compare it with rebuilding or moving platforms.
What do I need to upgrade from Drupal 10 to Drupal 11?
The site needs to be on Drupal 10.3 or later, the server needs PHP 8.3 or newer, and your modules and theme need versions that work with Drupal 11. Drupal provides tools such as Upgrade Status to find what needs changing, and they are helpful but not perfect.
What happens if a module has no version for the new Drupal?
It may need replacing with another module, patching or rebuilding. We check this early, before anyone commits to an upgrade.
Is Drupal the right choice for my website?
For large or complex sites it can be. For a small brochure site, WordPress or a hand-built site is often simpler and cheaper to look after. We will tell you honestly which we think fits.
Can you look after my Drupal site every month?
