What if I don’t know what my website runs on?
That’s very common, especially if someone else built the site years ago. Send us your web address and we can usually tell what it runs on by looking at it.
You can also check where you log in to edit it. Wix and Squarespace sites are edited from your Wix or Squarespace account. WordPress sites usually log in at yoursite.com/wp-admin, Joomla at /administrator and Drupal at /user. If you don’t know how to log in at all, that’s something we can help with too.

When we’ll tell you to move instead of fix
Sometimes patching an old website costs more than it’s worth. We’ll say so when:
- The platform version no longer gets security updates
- The theme or extensions you rely on are abandoned
- The site can’t be made fast or mobile-friendly where it is
- You’re paying for features you don’t use
- You can’t get at your own content or code
- Every small change is slow and expensive

Can you take over a website you didn’t build?
Yes. We regularly look after websites built by other people. We start with a review so we know exactly what we’re working with.
Do you only work with WordPress?
No. WordPress is the platform we build on most, but we also help with Shopify, WooCommerce, plain HTML, Drupal and the other platforms on this page, and we’ll tell you honestly if yours is one we’d suggest moving away from.
Will I lose my Google rankings if I move my website?
Nobody can promise that, but a careful move keeps the old addresses working with redirects and carries over your titles and content so Google can follow along. See our website migration page.
Do I own my website content?
You should. Some platforms make it easy to take your content with you and others don’t, which is why we check this before recommending a move.
